20 BAR PAINTED CARBON STEEL PRESSURE TANKS FOR WATER/AIR ANTI-WATERHAMMER FOR GERMAN STEELWORKS

Today we shipped No. 2 vertical 20 bar pressure tanks containing water/air anti-waterhammer with destination Germany CE/PED certified.

The two Hammer Tanks will be installed in a major steel plant as an anti-waterhammer protection system.

Anti-waterhammer tanks (or compensation tanks) are critical devices in hydraulic systems to protect pipes, pumps and valves from damage caused by the phenomenon of water hammer. This phenomenon occurs when a moving fluid is suddenly stopped or slowed down, generating pressure waves that can cause serious damage to the system.

The main functions of an anti-waterhammer tank are:

• Overpressure mitigation: absorbs pressure spikes caused by sudden changes in fluid velocity.
• Depression prevention: prevents negative pressures from building up, which could damage piping (structural collapse) or cause air or contaminant ingress.
• System stabilization: Maintains a uniform flow and protects system components.
• System life enhancement: Reduces mechanical stress on pumps, valves and piping, increasing the life of the entire system.
